Community and Regional Policy Studies Major [CRPS]
In the first and second year, students acquire academic and critical thinking skills, as well as basic knowledge needed to study in the core discipline areas of our program. Several of our courses involve field research with our flagship On-site-Research Project program offering exciting opportunities for research collaboration with other students either in Japan or abroad. As students progress through the program, they continually focus on their studies, gaining more in-depth knowledge and advanced thinking skills in order to prepare for their advanced Policy Seminar and Case Study Seminar courses in their third and fourth year in which students produce a final graduation thesis based on their original research.
